What I Thought was a graduate portfolio...

Turns into a hobby, a journey through faith, and continued progress towards a lifelong learner

Although I originally intended to further develop the graphic design, web design, and coding skills I began learning through my Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) program at San José State University, the primary purpose of this website was to serve as a graduate portfolio showcasing my academic work through the use of WordPress and Elementor. During my final semester, I was unable to fully create the professional portfolio website I had originally envisioned, but that experience ultimately became the foundation for something much greater.

Through working with WordPress, Elementor, web design, usability principles, and beginner-level coding concepts, I gained a deeper appreciation for how websites function and how digital content can be designed to create a meaningful user experience. While platforms like WordPress and Elementor can simplify aspects of website creation for beginners, they also provide valuable opportunities to learn website structure, design elements, layout development, content organization, and digital communication skills.

As I continued developing this website, I realized it was evolving beyond a traditional graduate school portfolio into a personal blog and informational resource centered around faith, education, lifelong learning, and information sharing. Built upon the knowledge and research skills I developed through my MLIS degree, this website combines academic interests with a Christian perspective focused on growth, purpose, service, and learning.

My goal is to create thoughtful, research-based content across a variety of subjects, including Christianity, Catholic faith, education, information science, librarianship, technology, web design, usability, personal growth, and lifelong learning. I hope to share meaningful insights, educational resources, and reflections that encourage curiosity, deeper understanding, and personal development.

Life has not always been easy for me, and I have faced many personal challenges and obstacles throughout my journey. However, those experiences have helped shape my character and

continue to motivate me to persevere, grow in faith, and continue learning. This website reflects not only my academic and professional interests, but also my desire to overcome barriers, improve my communication and research abilities, and continue growing intellectually, spiritually, and creatively.

Although I sometimes struggle with retaining information, I genuinely enjoy researching, learning, writing, and exploring new ideas. Through continued practice, education, and experience, I hope to strengthen my vocabulary, communication skills, and ability to share meaningful content with others. I understand that growth takes time, patience, humility, and perseverance, and this website represents an ongoing step in that journey.

Above all, I hope this website reflects a spirit of Christian faith, lifelong learning, humility, research, education, perseverance, and service to others.

God bless!
